OPT02 - Handcrafted wood panel with an image of Amelia Earhart.  She was an American aviation pioneer and author and was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.  She was born


July 24, 1897 and disappeared over the Pacific Ocean on July 2, 1937 during an attempt to circumnavigate the globe.  In a Lockheed Model 10 Electra, Earhart, and her co-pilot Fred Noonan, disappeared over the ocean heading for Howland Island.  Fascination with her life, career and disappearance continues to this day.
